New Director at River House
River House is delighted to welcome Kathryn Dombrowicz as our new full-time Director at River House
Kathryn comes to us from the Priory Hospital Roehampton where she was a Service Manager responsible for the operational, clinical and strategic management of an adolescent/adult specialist eating disorder service.
She brings with her both a wide range of management skills and an MSC in the Psychobiology of Stress as well as the ability to relate well to service users and develop services to meet their needs.
As you know River House has been without a permanent full-time Director for some time. We have spent time re-structuring and this has necessitated looking inwards rather than outwards.
Kathryn’s arrival on August 10th will be the start of a new and exciting phase in our development as we seek to improve, develop and expand our services.
We would love to hear from our users and colleagues about ideas you may have and opportunities that exist. For now please continue to address these to Lin Gillians.

We have news about the changes we are making to the staffing structure.
Helen has decided to take redundancy and as I’m sure some of you would have gathered Graham is now on leave, prior to his departure.
We are sure you wish to join us in thanking both Graham and Helen for their hard work over the past years.
The post of Director has now been advertised.
If you wish to discuss any of these changes please feel free to talk to
Antony Lillis, our Chair, who visits the centre regularly over the lunch time period. Alternatively you may speak with Lin Gillians, our interim Director who is here two days a week.

NOTICE FOR SERVICES AND ORGANISATIONS OPERATING FORM RIVER HOUSE
On the 21st May the River House Board unanimously agreed some changes to the current staffing structure. As a Board we want to make sure that more time is spent by staff with River House users, and we need to have more time developing and undertaking projects and activities and securing funding to maintain and develop services.
We have therefore agreed to create two new posts, Support Worker, and Director. We will no longer have a full-time receptionist but the reception area will be covered and the Support Workers will be on hand to deal with any queries.
As staff will be affected by the changes and it was the Board’s decision to make them we do not feel it is fair for them to answer any questions you may have.
We will therefore make sure that Antony Lillis, our Chair visits the centre regularly over the next couple of weeks during the lunch period to answer any questions you may have.
