HOW DO I JOIN RIVER HOUSE?

If you live in Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow, Ealing, Kensington & Chelsea or Westminster, and you are HIV positive, you can register to become a member of River House. Sadly, our current funding restrictions mean that we can no longer register individuals living in other boroughs.

In order for you to benefit fully from our Services, we need you to tell us a few details about yourself so that we can we can register you as a full member of the project. So, what happens now:

Firstly, Your Induction

On your first visit to the River House a member of Staff will spend time with you sharing some general information about the Project and familiarise you with the building. You will also be informed of the House Rules that all our members agree to honour.

Secondly, Registering

In order that you can begin to access our Services, we will need to officially register you as a member of River House. We can only do this once you have provided us with an original 'letter of diagnosis' from your Consultant and a Utility bill to confirm your address.

What is a 'letter of diagnosis'?

Your 'letter of diagnosis' is much more than just confirmation of your HIV status. It will contain information that will help us to ensue that you get the most appropriate assistance that we can provide. Ideally, this letter should be on your Consultant's headed paper and dated within the last year. Please note that we cannot accept photocopies.

Once you have been registered with the project you will be given a Membership card and a number. You will need to use this number each time you visit the Project

AS AN ORGANISATION ALL INFORMATION IS TREATED WITH THE STRICTEST OF CONFIDENCE AND WE EXPECT YOU TO RESPECT THE CONFIDENCE OF ALL OTHER SERVICE USERS.
